Peregrine Falcon Numbers Increasing in Iowa

The Iowa Department of Natural Resources has found 13 nesting pairs of peregrine falcons, a much higher number than their goal of 5 nesting pairs. Ten years ago there were only 2 nesting pairs. The department is currently taking public comments on their plan to remove the birds from the state’s endangered species list. See the full story on the KCCI site.
